Valencia based aerospace company is looking for an experienced mold operator. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Understand basic work order instructions and routing steps.
• Be able to record completion of operations on Work Order (initial and date).
• Read and understand blueprints/product specifications for manufacturing and dimensional requirements - perform in-process inspection to verify conformance using standard inspection tools (calipers, steel rule, micrometers, gage pins, radius gage, height gage, etc.)
• Perform hand trimming using scissors and razor blades to remove flash and rough edges. Some touch-up of metal surfaces on metal inserts.
• Read and understand work order contents including part number, quantity, due date, technical information and all supplementary information. Proficient with basic trimming concepts and cut product to size operation steps.
• Interpret work order stamping requirements and perform hand stamping operations. Dimension product for marking, cutting, and hole punching operations.
• Operate ink jet marking equipment.
• Operate slitting presses (manual and pneumatic).
• Understand and operate the salt core removal station.
• Set-up ink jet marking equipment and determine marking requirements from the work order or blueprint.
• Operate drill press, guillotine, set-up slitting press (manual and pneumatic) and clicker press. Inspect and pack product for inventory or delivery shipments.
• Familiar with specialized customer inspection requirements.
• Troubleshoot, develop and improve slitting methods as required.
• Operate post-curing ovens and maintain product traceability when placing parts on the racks.
• Understand product mix to eliminate contamination and utilize correct program for product post curing. Interpret blueprint for bonding, adhesives, and special prototype requirements.

Required Experience:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Be able to read and write English
• 1-2 years of finishing/trimming experience, preferred
• 1-2 years of blueprint experience, preferred
