The Opportunity:

The Production Superintendent ensures that manufacturing processes runs reliably and efficiently resulting in products being made to specification, within budget, and delivered on time. This requires a highly organized leader with excellent motivation and communication skills to direct team members. The Production Superintendent must thrive under pressure to meet deadlines and exceed quality and safety and cost standards in an effective manner, while maintaining a positive attitude and team culture of excellent customer service.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all production processes
  • Assess project and resource requirements
  • Plan, organize and communicate production schedules
  • Determine quality control standards and ensure they are followed
  • Assist in development and design of new products to solve customer problems
  • Negotiate timescales, schedules and agreements as necessary
  • Select vendors as well as order and purchase materials needed for manufacturing
  • Hire, train, coach, mentor, develop and supervise the work of employees
  • Identify, organize and execute and relevant training sessions
  • Follow and enforce all established policies, procedures, and recognized practices including ensuring that health and safety regulations are met and reported
  • Coordinate and organize the repair and routine, preventative, and emergency maintenance required for operational production equipment
  • Assist in taking physical inventories in accordance with corporate procedures

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree, (Engineering, Design, Production/Project Management) preferred
  • Experience in wood products manufacturing operations preferred
  • 2+ years demonstrated leadership experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office Suite and ERP Systems
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent project management skills
  • Product design and creative problem solving skills
  • Proven track record of successfully training employees in productivity and safety
  • Working knowledge of OSHA and EPA regulations
  • Ability to coach and mentor employees on a one-on-one basis as well as a group

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $100,000.00 - $180,000.00 per year
