Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

The Supervisor of Production is involved with the planning, coordination and control of the manufacturing processes. They ensure that goods and services are produced efficiently and that the correct amount is produced at the right cost level of quality.

General responsibilities, but are not limited to:

  • Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures.
  • Supervising and motivating a team of workers.
  • Reviewing worker performance.
  • Identifying training needs.
  • Safety performance – We believe that all accidents and injuries are preventable and our supervisors are responsible for developing a safety culture based on this premise.
  • Quality-our position is that we are the best flexographic printer/converter in the market and the production supervisor will be required to continually elevate the output quality to the point where our customers are delighted with the products we supply them.
  • Waste reduction-Waste is not restricted to material-utilize continuous improvement projects to lock in best practices and continually improve press and converting efficiency by reducing waste.
  • Productivity-At the end of the day it is all about productivity. Productivity must not come at the expense of safety, quality or waste.

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

· Must have : A minimum of 3 years supervisory experience.

· An understanding of the flexographic printing process and /or converting process how jobs are built.

· Experience implementing SQF (Safe Quality Foods) and Quick Changeover (QCO) programs.

· Experience with continuous improvement and the various CI tools..

· Fluency in the Microsoft Office suite of products must have good knowledge of Excel and be able to use it as a statistical tool to monitor and communicate departmental performance.

· Good communication skills - must be able to present the vision for the company to the production teams and engage them to support fulfilment of the vision - the employees must be part of the solution.

· Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude.

· High school diploma or GED required, Bachelor’s Degree Preferred

· Printing or Packaging degree preferred.

Physical Requirements:

· Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.

· Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards

· Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs

· Must be able to talk, listen and speak clearly on telephone'
