We are hiring a Manufacturing Sanitation Supervisor with one of our client located in the Vero Beach area.

Schedule - 3:00 P.M to 12:00 A.M

Summary:

The Sanitation Supervisor is a critical member to our Operations Team and is responsible for maintaining the integrity of product quality and safety by ensuring that all production equipment are in compliance with Sanitary, GMP's (Good Manufacturing Processes), Federal, State and local food protection standards, and Company programs. The Sanitation Supervisor is accountable for effective leadership and continuous improvement for our food manufacturing facilities sanitation processes for quality, cost, delivery, safety, training, and morale. In this role, you will be accountable for the development implementation, execution and evaluation of the sanitation program and taking corrective action to prevent product contamination.

WHAT THE JOB ENTAILS (Essential Duties):

  • Train employees on related job specific training, employee safety, and record maintenance.
  • Train operators and sanitors on sanitation SOPs, assign work area and direct workflow.
  • Address complaints, provides resolution guidance and issue disciplinary actions, as necessary.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety guidelines and standards, including the proper use of personal protective equipment.
  • Ensure all finished product, product packaging and non-rated equipment is protected during sanitation.
  • Ensure Food Safety and Quality Control specifications are met.
  • Ensure compliance with all company GMPs, issue disciplinary and/or corrective actions as necessary.
  • Systematically develop clear and well-defined cleaning procedures for all equipment and operational facility areas.
  • Develop, maintain, and comply with Master Sanitation Schedule.
  • Coordinate with Maintenance on the disassembly and reassembly of equipment and report any unsatisfactory findings.
  • Coordinate with Quality Assurance on sanitation and/or food safety concerns.
  • Coordinate with management and chemical vendor on chemical usage and process changes to improve sanitation effectiveness, reduce costs, and improve time efficiency.
  • Prepare for and participate in state and federal inspections, including 3rd party audits (i.e. SQF, customer audits, etc.). This is accomplished through daily monitoring and completion of Master Cleaning Schedule.
  • Work independently and/or within a team on special non-recurring and on-going projects.

Requirements

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR (Qualifications Needed):

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A./B.S.) in related field or equivalent preferred.
  • Two to four years related experience or equivalent in a supervisory role.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule. Must be available to complete specific tasks during non-operational hours.
  • Must have strong organizational and documentation skills.
  • Must be able to communicate in English to include reading and writing work-related documents.
  • Experience in manufacturing of dry products.
  • Experience with dry and wet cleaning processes.
  • Experience with CIP systems.
  • Must be able to regularly move/lift 50 lbs.
  • Knowledge of the sanitation process, cleaning chemistry, chemical storage, handling, and dispensing systems and sanitary design principles.
  • Knowledge of good manufacturing process, safety, lock out and tag out and health and

safety regulations.
