Production Support - 2nd Shift

Under the supervision of the Shift Supervisor, load bulk cheese onto the packaging line, pack finished goods, and stack cases on pallets where needed.

How You Will Contribute to our Legacy of Excellence:

  • Open, inspect, and place cheese on production lines:
  • Remove all packaging material from cheese (strapping, corrugated or wood boxes, plastic overwrap).
  • Inspect bulk cheese for mold or contaminant, remove and clean accordingly.
  • Lift and place cheese on conveyors. Weight varies from 5 lbs. to 45 lbs. per lift and up to 100lbs with the help of another employee.
  • Operate all automated and manual cutting systems.
  • Manually stack finished goods cases on a pallet.
  • Consistent and reliable attendance to maintain adequate staffing levels and meet customer commitments is required.

What You Have to Offer:

  • Ability to work professionally and in concert with all production, quality, and supervisory personnel.
  • Ability to understand safety warnings and directives related to machinery and production processes.
  • Ability to lift and carry 45 lbs. repeatedly.
  • Ability to visually inspect the product for food quality purposes.
  • Ability to stack and separate pallets.
  • Must be able to operate equipment safely.
  • Ability to stack and band used 640 lb. components according to specifications for vendor return.
