(PRODUCTION WORKERS)

What will you be doing?

  • Production Workers must be highly motivated to assist with immediate production needs while ensuring that all work is completed with the highest safety and quality standards. This role will have direct involvement in the production of of foods, evaluation of the quality of said goods, interaction with personnel performing production duties while utilizing GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and SQF (Safe Quality Foods) standards
  • Responsible for producing, packaging, and boxing items specified daily in adherence to the predetermined product specifications.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment and adhere to all GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points), and SQF (Safe Quality Food) initiatives.
  • Follow basic assembly instructions, processes, and procedures.
  • Maintain process cycle time to keep pace with established standards.

Qualifications and Experience

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 1+ year of manufacturing experience a plus
  • Must be able to work in a food manufacturing facility and be comfortable working around several types of machinery and equipment.
  • Strong sense of urgency & attention to detail
  • Ability to self-direct and take constructive action in ambiguous situations
  • Ability to work flexible and/or extended hours and weekends as business demands
  • Ability to remain in a stationary position for various times throughout the shift, to move or traverse in manufacturing area safely, to ascend/descend a ladder or stairs, to position self to work on manufacturing equipment
  • Ability to see information postings throughout the facility, visually troubleshoot items on machinery and read directions, documents, and signage
  • Ability to frequently move object weighing up to 50-75 pounds and to work in very hot or very cold conditions

(WAREHOUSE WORKERS)

The Warehouse Associate will assist the warehouse supervisor in team in day-to-day operations consisting of, inbound and outbound shipping and receiving, order preparation, production assistance, inventory control & FIFO rotation of Finished goods. Maintain communication and transparency to department supervisor. Forklift and pallet jack operations to retrieve and store goods and material into containers, coolers, and dry storage areas. Pick up and move boxes up to 40Ibs & Grounds maintenance, (Cleanliness and organization is key) This position will be relied on by the 1st shift supervisor to fill the void in their absence, be willing and eager to learn new tactics and procedures to be successful within the company and assist in the growth.

  • Loads trucks for delivery based on pre-determined routes, invoices, and orders.
  • Ensures product quality and integrity when sorting and loading orders.
  • Maintains a clean and safe work environment
  • Requires completion of incoming inspection testing, confirmation of certificate of conformance and reconciliation of receiving/purchase documentation.
  • Each receipt must have documentation (Packing Slip, etc.) to support computer system entries.
  • Receivers distributed to purchasing office for filing.
  • Assist with raw material and critical supply inventories.
  • Requires maintenance and cleaning of inventory area, inventory organization and racking, inventory cycle counting and reporting, monthly inventory accounting, and reorder quantity vendor releases notification. Actual Physical Counts of raw material and tag controls required
  • General housekeeping, maintenance and organization of the dock and inventory areas.
  • Requires hands on cleaning and maintenance along with organization and interpersonal skills to coordinate with other department and outside waste disposal vendor.
  • Proper operation of equipment to safety and productivity requirements, including but not limited to:
  • Forklift, lift truck or hand trucks to convey, move or hoist materials to proper departments or areas
  • Unloads trucks, verifying count to bills of lading/packing slips. Stacks materials on pallets or other storage medium for inventory in the raw materials warehouse or other areas as specified.
  • Verifies part ID and quantity of all incoming material. Appropriately marks incoming goods with label prior to storage in racks or freezer/cooler locations.
  • Pulls and/or locates materials for storage according to production requisition or transaction received from manufacturing.
  • Retrieves raw materials from warehouse storage racks (according to FIFO system).
  • Receives raw materials and packaging from the warehouse and/or manufacturing areas.
  • Verifies the label identity and quantities are correct prior to placing into inventory.
  • Performs other warehousing duties as required by the Plant Manager.

Qualifications and Experience

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 2+ years of warehouse experience.
  • 2+ years of database/systems experience.
  • Forklift driving experience – acquire or maintain forklift license on required equipment
  • Strong sense of urgency & attention to detail
  • Excellent organization, communication, and follow-up skills
  • Able to influence others & manage conflict
  • Experience using scan guns to electronically fulfill orders on ERP system a plus.
  • Ability to self-direct and take constructive action in ambiguous situations
  • Extremely high standards of excellence
