JOB SUMMARY

As Tangents Residential & Commercial Channel Program Manager, you will be responsible for the development & launch of Customer focused Sales Programs & Product Offerings. You will work internally cross functional between Sales, Marketing & Operations meeting with key stakeholders to set objectives & required support per project schedules defining content creation and build to launch in support of sales growth. The ideal candidate will have prior experience working directly with customers, outside sales & executive sales management aligning the program strategic objectives with defined channel targets. This role will report directly to the VP of Sales with direct reports building per program and content development and launch.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develops and leads implementation of the sales program development strategies to drive long-term market share growth with target customers including:
  • Short- and long-range strategy optimization and creation
  • Delivery against annual sales volume and financial goals
  • Leads cross functional development and implementation of marketing and sales programs for the Residential & Commercial channels
  • Leads competitive analysis, market analysis, and associated game plan adjustments
  • Creation and delivery of improved program launch strategies & tactics used
  • Accelerate HDPE market development and sales growth with Residential OEMs with a primary focus on defending our market share position against category & alternative materials and converting retailers in support of desired share & sales volume growth
  • Partners with the marketing team and oversees the development of program strategies and retailer demand generation initiatives continuing to build Tangent Brand value
  • Identifies optimal program & product portfolio needed to win in the target channels and develops the business case for innovative programs, products, and process.
  • Understands market conditions and competitive strategies and creates business plans to address opportunities and threats.
  • Leads development and usage of management and program reporting tools to track progress against goals and identify key business insights that impact program and/or channel strategy.
  • Gains deep understanding of our target direct target customers (OEM’), Retailers, and Consumers, and develops compelling customer and market programs to enable market share growth.
  • Partners with sales leadership and marketing for continued program content development supporting accelerated brand development & industry recognition as the category leader of lumber, finished goods & comprehensive program offerings in support of partnership growth
  • Works with Human Resource and Marketing for the development of program launch programs ensuring 100% alignment of offerings and market side positioning from launch.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Excellent leadership, project management, collaboration skills and the ability to drive results
  • Ability to proactively manage multiple projects in a fast paced, independent environment, and flexible enough to adapt to changes
  • Ability to analyze business and market trends and customer + partner feedback to better refine program & product offerings and drive business growth
  • Strong bias for results and can work independently as well as interact effectively across functions and at all levels
  • Ability to achieve alignment and buy in for strategies and plans to drive achievement of agreed goals
  • Superior interpersonal and written/oral communication skills with the ability to relate well and cooperate with others to effectively coordinate activities and accomplish goals
  • Demonstrated advanced skills with the standard features of various personal computer word processing and spreadsheet software (Microsoft Word and Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Internet, Asana and proprietary software)
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 50%

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 3 – 5 years of related experience preferred in product and/or program management leadership roles

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
