LADD is seeking a Program Manager for our Berrien Springs, MI location. This is a full time position with benefits. Only qualified candidates will be considered.

Job Summary: This position may require working an established number of shifts as part of the schedule based on the number of FTE’s and needs for the program/programs managing. Managers are responsible for the day to day operations and management of the location(s) where they work. This includes assisting the people with managing and supervising all employees at that location; including but not limited to, activities such as interviewing, selecting, and training of employees; hours of work; directing the work of employees; maintaining records appraising employees’ job performance for the purpose of recommending promotions or other changes in status; handling employee complaints and grievances; disciplining employees; planning the work; determining the techniques to be used; apportioning the work among the employees; determining the type of materials, supplies, equipment or tools to be used or purchased, the flow and distribution of materials or merchandise and supplies; providing for the safety and security of the employees or the property; planning and controlling the budget; and monitoring or implementing legal compliance measures.

Manager Duties:
  • Adhere to and support the Mission, Vision and Values of L.A.D.D., Inc.
  • Adhere to and supporting the policies and procedures of L.A.D.D., Inc., the contract agencies, licensing regulations, and any other regulatory agency requirements.
  • Ensure rights of people are guaranteed at all times and they are provided with the least restrictive environment.
  • Ensure that the needs of all people supported are met at all times.
  • Follow the Chain of Command or contact Corporate Compliance if necessary.
  • Participation in committees and subsequent workgroups as needed.
  • Problem solves issues with other L.A.D.D., Inc. members of management.
  • Encourage and maintain positive interactions and communications with all people their parents, family and friends, as well as guardians, community members, professionals and staff, and represents the company in a positive manner.
  • Work flexible hours to ensure that all shifts are functioning appropriately and shift duties are completed.
  • Communication with Area Supervisor and/or Regional Director regarding all areas of service and keep an open line of communication.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all people including staff or any issues discussed in management meetings; and share on a ‘need to know’ only basis.
  • Assist the people and staff with coordination of calendars, scheduling activities, appointments and transportation.
  • Assists people with creating schedules for hourly staff, provides training and coaching to all people.
  • Oversee and review all documentation to insure accuracy. Report immediately any discrepancies.
  • Complete necessary paperwork (End of Month etc.), maintain current records and upkeep of files.
  • Complete successfully the approved contract agencies training, CPR/FA, and any other required and ongoing training including team building.
  • Attend and actively participate in meetings, appointments, and trainings.
  • Maintain, supervise, and secure L.A.D.D., Inc. monies.
  • Assist the people with personal funds, insure funds are accurate, receipts in place and bank statements balance with ledgers at all times. Ensure it is individualized for each person based on their choice, needs and requests.
  • Additional duties may be assigned at any time.
Key Performance Requirements and Standards
  • Ensure role modeling of the company Mission, Vision, and Values to all employees, persons served, guardians, and community to ensure and deliver quality services.
  • Ensure training for self, and all staff is completed and documented within the designated timelines.
  • Ensure all phone calls are returned promptly based on flexible 40-hour workweek schedule.
  • Ensure that any responses to phone calls, or text messages, that are work related and are outside of schedule are documented appropriately in the AOD/time keeping system to ensure compensation for all hours worked.
  • Demonstrate ability to prioritize and support multiple service locations.
  • This position will be knowledgeable about and actively support 1) culturally competent, recovery-based practices, 2) Person Centered Planning, with the person’s choices being the priority, insuring they are defining their own life goals and are assisted in developing a unique path toward those goals and 3) a trauma informed culture to aid people in their recovery process.
  • Follow the Emergency Procedures appropriately; ensuring safety and supervision (based on PCP) of people supported and employees.
  • Ensure that schedules are completed and if applicable, posted at least 3 weeks in advance.
  • Ensure that all necessary equipment is available and utilized by employees and people.
  • Competent in computer, scanner, and fax use.
  • Complete required reports and documentation as assigned by management accurately, completely, and in a timely manner.
  • Have legible penmanship and good spelling skills
Minimum Qualification and Experience
  • 18 years of age, preferred one (1) year of experience in direct care or related field.
  • Proficient in all essential functions of a Professional Care Technicians.
  • Specialized training, skills, and abilities must be successfully completed and demonstrated prior to working alone; lived experiences with behavioral health issues are desired.
  • Managerial experience preferred; some training will be provided.
  • Ongoing professional growth is required.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions.
  • Able to work necessary hours to meet objectives and schedules which includes working a flexible schedule.
  • Able to meet job essentials of the Professional Care Technician with/without accommodations.
  • Able to work in the environment assigned and with the people served.
  • Successfully complete and pass all required training.
