The Penobscot Valley Industries/Ralph Leek Elders program site has an excellent opportunity for a Program Secretary. This is a 5-day per week position, 8 hours per day and includes full benefits including full employer-paid health, dental, short and long-term disability, and life insurance premiums, eyecare benefits, generous accruals of sick and flexible vacation time, paid holidays, 401(k) plan participation with a generous employer match, and tuition reimbursement for two approved courses per year up to $500.00 for each course taken.

REPORTING RELATIONSHIP: The Secretary reports directly to the Program Director.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or GED required, with relevant secretarial and/or administrative experience preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and a demonstrated history of excellent organizational skills and ability to multitask required. This position will also be occasionally assigned to provide limited consumer direct care. Fully employer-paid DSP (Direct Service Professional) training will be provided and will result in certification for the successful applicant. GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES: (Please see complete Job Description for additional duties/details)
Maintain accurate records of attendance for all program participants, staff, substitutes and other records as assigned by the Program Director

· Maintain current program schedules, lists of staff and program participants, and distribute revisions to staff

· Enter Reportable and Non-Reportable Events into the Access database as requested

· Keyboard, copy, and file a variety of work including individual plans, progress reports, contracts, correspondence, policies, minutes, and a variety of blank forms within the deadline indicated by the Program Director

· Independently compose routine correspondence as requested by Program Director

· Attend staff meetings at the discretion of the Program Director and when indicated record, type, and disseminate meeting minutes

· Maintain log systems for training, phone calls, vehicles and substitute staff

· Sort and route mail promptly

· Maintain scheduling for conference room

-The successful applicant for this position will be required to obtain their Direct Service Professional certification--paid for by Amicus--and will act as a DSP "float" at the program site as part of his/her responsibilities. These duties will require flexibility on the part of the successful candidate.
