Summary:

This position is responsible for providing accounting, project controls, and job-cost support to clients, project managers, and operations managers. The purpose of this role includes working with project managers and customer contacts to accurately invoice work performed, providing reporting and documentation as required by clients and contracts. This position requires skills on budgeting, Earned Value Analysis, project cost tracking, and monthly forecasting. This position is part-time.

  • Assist in developing, reviewing, and transferring project budgets. Provides initial cost per unit analysis prior to transfer.
  • Develop Schedule of Values and Pay Applications per contract terms with Project Managers; provides draft SOV with actual % completes, provides input by comparing to under/over billing and reviews against projected billing.
  • Accounts Receivable reporting and collection of payment owed to the project.
  • Conduct final job audits and commitment close outs.
  • Create and manage conditional and unconditional lien waivers for client, suppliers, and subcontractors.
  • Facilitate bond process.
  • Facilitate prevailing wage reporting and requirements when necessary.
  • Job cost review and reclassification; leads cost report review meetings with project teams.
  • Tracking production quantities.
  • Administer sales tax processes pertinent to assigned projects.
  • Performing Earned Value Analysis and reporting.
    • Analyzing the data and reporting out to operation and construction management.
  • Administering management of subcontracts and client contracts.
    • Assisting in client change management
    • Managing sub-contractors’ change management process
    • Manage sub-contractor pay packages on a monthly basis
  • Present, support, and lead-by-example with a safety and quality-oriented attitude.
  • Assist in monthly forecast reporting; Estimate to Complete report support and analysis. Provides project team input on forecasts using project schedule, EVA, and actual cost per unit comparison.
  • Assist project team with change order documentation and/or preparation.
  • Assist team in process documentation.
  • Contract and subcontractor management.
  • Manage project warranty tracking.
  • Participate in project kick-off and closeout meetings; provide support to project team in preparing cost information.
  • Support project team in use of Procore financial tools.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or Engineering related field or equivalent (equivalent is 2 years of experience).
  • 2 years or more in accounting, finance, project controls or project management.
  • 2 years or more in construction industry preferred.
  • 2 years or more with Earned Value Analysis.

Qualifications:

  • Intermediate level understanding of Earned Value Analysis.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, specifically Intermediate Excel knowledge including the use of pivot tables.
  • Experience with SAGE software, Procore, or ERP or Reporting Systems is a plus
  • Strong analytical ability.
  • Ability to manage tight deadlines and handle multiple complex tasks in a fast-paced, changing environment.
  • Stronger focus on Project Controls or Project Management.
  • Strong communication skill and ability to interact and communicate with all levels of leaders.
  • Ability to interpret financial reporting.
  • Ability to understand project schedules.
  • Ability to travel 5 to 15%.

Anticipated base salary range: $28 - $33 per hour.

The final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. This position is bonus eligible.
