Project Bookkeeper Job at MLJ Contracting

· Ability to be approved by agencies/owners as required

The Project Bookkeeper is responsible for tracking and managing backup data and reports that are required to be submitted to the client agencies with our monthly invoices. The successful candidate will ensure the accuracy of this information in order to minimize/eliminate review comments from the agency thereby ensuring prompt receipt of payments.
Key Responsibilities
- Documenting transaction details
- Producing financial reports
- Fact-checking accounting data
- Notify senior staff of any accounting errors
- Recording financial transactions
- Tracking payroll data
- Other duties assigned
Education / Qualifications
- Bachelor’s in Accounting, Business Administration or other related field (or equivalent experience) preferred
Qualifications
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Minimum 3 to 5 years of bookkeeping experience
- Prior experience working at a construction company preferably performing public works
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent time management skills
