Reports To: Construction Project Manager

Position Summary:

This position reports directly to the General Manager and is responsible for managing the construction of a 4-plexr in Scammon Bay, Alaska and other duties as assigned. Duties include but are not limited to: Project Estimating, Purchasing/Procurement, Scheduling, Subcontract Management, Cost control, Quality Assurance and Risk Management. Must work well with and coordinate directly with government Contracting Authority, Project Management, Architects, Engineers and Consultants, and Quality Control/Site Safety Representatives. Must oversee and direct Superintendents and Field Supervision to ensure the success of those projects assigned.

Education and Experience:

· Bachelor’s degree is preferred but not required;

· Minimum 5 years of with Construction Project Management;

· Demonstrated experience working with Federal Agencies (Navy, Army Corps, Air Force)

· Experience with JOC, POCAS, SABER and/or other Project Delivery Methods;

· Experience with Design-Build contracting is a plus;

· Quality Control Management Certificate preferred but not required;

· Knowledge of Safety Practices including OSHA 29CFR1926 is required and Certification is a plus;

· Familiarity working with federal solicitations and contracts is a plus;

· Must have experience with developing construction estimates and scheduling of projects;

· Computer proficiency with knowledge of MS Office, including MS Project and Estimating and Project Management Software

Essential Job Functions:

· Estimating and delivery of various types of projects based on technical specifications, scope of work and drawings;

· Primary Point of Contact with the client for the project under the direction of the General Manager;

· Manages and handles day-to-day operation of construction projects including weekend, evenings as required;

· Supports and assists the government in the development of the scope of work, project specifications, and coordinating completion of design drawings to ensure they clearly define the project requirements and client expectations;

· Assembles and supports field team in the execution of project work plans, schedule, and revisions as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements;

· Ensures projects are delivered on time, within budget, adhere to high quality standards and meets all levels of customer expectations;

· Coordinate project close-out; to include obtaining required documentation, assisting in pre-final inspections and As-Built drawings;

· Develops and fosters lasting relationships with client personnel;

· Manages project budget and forecasting and cost-control;

· Ensures all supporting documents are provided to the project team in a timely manner;

· Review, approve and process subcontractor and consultant invoice;

· Provides input for client pay applications including all required prerequisites;

· Other duties as assigned by the General Manager and/or the Chief Executive Officer.

Pay: From $80,169.00 per year
