OVERVIEW:

Radio One is looking for a Part-Time Promotions Assistant to join our Baltimore team!


ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Coordinates and implements all details involving special events (remotes, events, appearances, promotions and etc.)
  • Assist in managing on-site expectations at all events with regards to setup, photos, videos, and giveaways
  • Collaborate with Sale, Programming, and Promotions Departments when planning promotional appearances for clients and station events
  • Provide recaps for all events (photos, videos, and air check) to the Promotions Director and Account Executive
  • Assist Account Executives in efforts to execute their remotes and events successfully
  • Structures remote appearances and surveys all potential promotion locations.
  • Schedules staff for station events, remotes, appearances, and concerts
  • Helps schedule on air contesting, liners, and promos
  • Assist in developing staff promotional ideas
  • Manage inventory of promotional giveaways and closet
  • Provides weekly event and promotional updates to Promotions Director
  • Assists in facilitating weekly promotional meetings with team
  • Serves as a company representative for certain community and charitable events
  • Assist with all promotional activity

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:


  • Flexible schedule, with the ability and willingness to work varied hours on the weekdays, and weekends
  • Excellent organizational skills, and the ability to prioritize and effectively manage time
  • Self-starter, with the ability to take and follow direction
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to interact effectively with the station’s clients and listeners
  • Can work well independently and as an integral part of the team
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time, and lift/move up to 50 lbs

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Must be at least 18 years of age with a High School Diploma or GED. Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record. Must have at least 2 years of driving experience.
