Proofreader - Hillsborough County Register of Deeds Job at Hillsborough County, NH
Position Overview:
Under the direction of the Records Retention Director, the Proofreader is responsible for proofreading all documents completed by indexers and corrects errors as needed to ensure that accurate information is recorded on all real estate transactions
General Responsibilities:
The Proofreader will verify all documents and plans entered into the computer; will print batch and docket reports to verify that all documents have been received; print V- list; will assist data entry operators with certain documents; archive books – including backup and validation; will assist the public with questions; will assist any personnel with any questions on documents; and will handle computer issues as they arise.
Qualifications:
· Any combination of some high school, and some experience and training which provides the required skills, knowledge and abilities
· One year of related experience.
· Good organization and customer service skills
· Ability to interact effectively with the public, county personnel and employees
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $16.97 per hour
