PSR Senior Specialist Job at Southside Behavioral Health
Southside Behavioral Health provides individualized culturally competent care in our communities, by supporting wellness and quality of life in a recovery-oriented environment and professional manner. Covering the counties of Halifax, Mecklenburg and Brunswick, VA. Our behavioral health services are backed with community involvement and values.
SBH is seeking a qualified individual that will provide individual services and group instruction to mentally ill adults in areas of pre-vocational, social, interpersonal and independent living skills, education medication management and psycho-education.
Responsibilities
- Maintains activity and curriculum calendar for PSR program in Halifax and Mecklenburg county.
- Facilitates groups and activities.
- Prepares/plans/coordinates activities and field trips for consumer goods
- Maintains contact with family members, care providers, transportation providers, and mental health staff, as appropriate.
- Transports consumers on field trips and various activities, providing observation, supervision, assessment, and monitoring to aid in community integration for consumers.
- Completes, maintains, and assists with tracking required documentation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in human services, social work, psychology, sociology, or related field preferred, Associate’s degree in human services related field required
- One year of experience providing direct services to persons with mental illness
- Must meet all criminal background and drug screening requirements.
- Valid driver’s license and safe driving record, required.

Pay: $39,803.00 - $58,675.00 per year
