Psychologist

SUMMARY: Completes psychosocial assessment/intake of patient. Provides a range of therapeutic and crisis interventions, Also conducts supportive counseling for patients, bereavement support and follow-up.


PROFESSIONAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITES:

  • Valid Psychologist License for the State of Florida in good standing.
  • Basic understanding of medical terminology and documentation.
  • Ability to use basic mathematical skills.
  • Able to preform repetitive tasks.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: includes the following, other duties may be assigned.

Maintain schedule to maximize productivity of clinical services.

  • Comprehensive intake interviews.
  • Reviews medical history.
  • Score PHQ-9 Questionnaire.
  • Prepare preliminary treatment plan with patient.

Medication review.

  • Review patient’s reason for seeking mental health services at present time.
  • Review history of drug and alcohol

Documentation in Electronic health record. (EHR)

  • Document patient notes daily.
  • Enter charges for billing.
  • Review and address tasks daily.
  • Reviews and approves medical record releases.

Individual counseling/ psychotherapy.

  • Coordinate treatment plan with Primary Care/ medical provider.
  • Crisis intervention.
  • Completes required treatment plans and forms for insurance/ state.

Education.

  • How to use health system effectively.
  • How to use resource network effectively.
  • Community support.

Ensure patient confidentiality and EMR security at all times.

  • Maintain patient information within HIPAA.

Keep other Care Team Members informed when situations occur that disrupts timely patient flow through site.

Consistently participates in and actively adheres to patient care expectations to attain clinical goals set forth in the PCHG Health Care Plans and the Quality Improvement / Quality Assurance (QI/QA).
