Psychological Consulting and Therapy, a private Relationship Clinic in New Jersey, is looking for a part-time, remote (with an option to become full time in future as your clientele builds up) clinically licensed psychotherapist to join our team. You will work under direct supervision of our clinical director Dr. Valéry Fradkov.

Dr. Valéry Fradkov is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). He earned his Masters of Social Work at Adelphi University (New York) and his Doctorate in Science at the Russian Academy of Sciences (Moscow). As a former NASA physicist with 19+ years of practice and research in clinical psychology, he consults his clients on interpersonal issues, provides relationship counseling and psychotherapy, and performs research on the role of verbal and nonverbal messages and emotions in the interpersonal communication process. As a member of our team, you will provide individual, couple, and family therapy focusing on such issues as interpersonal communication, relationship patterns, emotions regulation, anger, depression, anxiety,, guilt, (if you keep those words in, it becomes redundant) and addictive behaviors. The applicant needs to be ready to (i would say incorporate, otherwise, it sounds pretty forceful and more independent people won’t come your way. Depends on what you want. Also it is a run-on sentence so i suggest chunking it) learn our unique approach and methods developed over the last two decades. This amount of work allowed us to put together a coherent treatment methodology, which is now in process of being published.

Your responsibilities will include online therapy (and optionally in person in our Fort Lee office or elsewhere), performing initial assessment and diagnostics, developing treatment plans, referring patients to other specialists (physicians, psychiatrists, etc.) if needed, and maintaining session notes and other necessary documentation. You will also engage in online supervision and study sessions with your supervisor.

You need to be clinically licensed to perform psychotherapy and/or counseling in New Jersey (LP, LCPC, LCSW, etc.). A New York license is a plus. You need to be ready to start with a small patient load, which will grow overtime. You are expected to be open to learning, discussing, and ideally suggesting new ideas and clinical models.
