Psychometrist Job at Albany Area Primary Health Care, Inc
To administer and score psychological test batteries evaluating cognitive, academic, behavioral, and emotional status to aid psychologists, psychiatrists, neurologists, and other medical professionals in clarifying diagnoses and assisting with treatment. To provide technical support to psychologist by providing a written summary of evaluation findings into the report templates provided by the supervising psychologist. Write appropriate case notes in the electronic medical record.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Administer and score psychological tests in a standardized manner.
- Provide a written summary of the patient's behavior during the testing, including any interactions with the parents or peers that may be observed incidentally .
- Assist in supplementing clinical history as needed.
- Psychometrists will observe behaviors during testing to determine any additional selection of test(s) required for adequate evaluation purposes.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONs
The minimum educational requirement for a psychometrist is a bachelor’s degree in a health-related field with preference in psychology. Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS). Knowledge and skills of computer software is helpful.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES
Knowledge of organizational policies, procedures, and systems. Knowledge of computer systems and applications. Good communication skills to elicit information and cooperation from patients. Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with patients, staff, and the public. Knowledge of community resources and referral agencies. Ability to act calmly in stressful situations.

Pay: $17.50 - $34.09 per hour
