Purchasing Expeditor

Reports to: Purchasing Manager

Supervisory Responsibilities: None

Position Overview:

You will be responsible for ensuring that we have the supplies and inventory needed to function according to schedule. Duties include communicating with suppliers about the status of supplies, problem-solving to reduce the impact of late shipments and submitting purchase orders to vendors.

Essential Job Functions:

• Assist Purchasing Manager with monitoring inventory levels, assess supply vendors and ensure delivered supplies meet quality standards.
• Expedite and monitor deliveries of purchase orders for all branches in order to consistently meet due dates from vendors and to ensure the timely arrival of material.
• Maintain accurate dates and transactional information on purchase orders.
• Manually transfer product when needed with direction from the department.
• Learn to use software system’s and vendor websites to gather reports or information on purchase orders as needed to maintain information on purchase orders.
• Work with all vendors, departments and branches to resolve any outstanding issues that may arise.
• Support the department on a day-to-day execution of projects and initiatives as needed with direction from the purchasing manager.

Qualifications:

• College Degree or equivalent experience preferred
• HVAC industry knowledge
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
• Ability to learn computer systems quickly
• Excellent analytical, decision-making and problem-solving skills
• Attention to accuracy and detail required
