Purchasing Manager Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage the purchasing process including the buying, selling, and distribution aspects of the company.
- Hiring and training new staff
- Establishing guidelines on how often the company gets price quotes for items, the number of bids to accept, and which vendors to consider
- Buying goods and services for the company
- Coordinates with fellow managers to monitor inventory and determine supply needs
- Follow workplace safety standards.
- Associates degree in a related field preferred
- Prior experience working in the purchasing department in the same industry
- Strong understanding of market conditions and trends.
- Working knowledge of negotiation techniques in the industry
- Exceptional interpersonal and social skills to build a good rapport
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- English speaking
- Positive and professional demeanor
- Great team player
- Flexible to travel Orlando/Tampa areas
