Position: QA Technician (Quality Assurance Technician) West Nyack
Job Type: Full-time, Monday to Friday, second shift
This position is located at our West Nyack, NY
Key Duties:
· Develop, update, and implement the food safety and quality programs in our manufacturing facilities, including policies, forms, procedures, and training.
· Maintain food safety, quality systems and regulatory programs including HACCP, SQF and applicable policies and procedures
· Establish, maintain, and promote good communications and rapport with all departments and levels of management when in assigned facility
· Ensure the quality and food safety documentation is up to date at plant level, where required by the client
· Conduct internal and good manufacturing practice inspections at client’s facility
· Support the plant team during internal, third party or government inspections and audits
· Train employees in the facility on records, policies, and procedures
· Swab testing and review lab results
· Additional duties as required
Qualifications/ Experience:
· Relevant college degree/education preferred but not required
· SQF (Safe Quality Food) experience preferred
· Strong written & verbal communication skills
· The proven ability to make & sustain effective interpersonal relationships
· Demonstrated proficiency with MSOffice
· Ability to operate effectively in a customer focused, fast paced team environment
· Willingness to work in office and processing plant environment
· Able to collect, maintain, evaluate data, summarize, and write reports
· Develops policies and SOP’s and write into approved documents
· Team player with high integrity, values, and a positive attitude
· Open to and flexible with change, takes initiative and works with minimal supervision
· Bilingual English/Spanish a plus
Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Must be fully COVID vaccinated.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
