Terramac is looking for a Quality Assurance Manager at our Sugar Grove, IL location. The Quality Assurance Manager executes and maintains a Quality Management System, including all systems, processes, and direct resources used in the measurement, monitoring, and improvement of Terramac system and product quality. You will champion a culture of continuous improvement and use your experience in quality control and improvement methods to increase customer satisfaction, drive down costs of poor quality, and improve company efficiency. The overriding goal will be to have defect-free products delivered between every step in the value chain and ultimately to the end users and through the end of the life cycle. This position will travel up to half the time between the Chicago area and the St. Louis area.

The Quality Manager will:

• Support all aspects of the Terramac business.
• Have responsibility for the company’s Quality Management System (QMS).
• Oversee Supplier, Production, and Initial Field Quality management.
• Contribute to strategic planning, budget, and team performance management.
• Develop and improve business systems used to capture failure and defect information.
• Roll out quality tools and processes, and train employees on these.
• Create, monitor, and report on Quality Key Performance Indicator (KPI) metrics.
• Conduct various hiring and administrative tasks related to the position.

The Quality Manager needs:

• Bachelor of Science in a manufacturing or engineering discipline.
• 10+ years of quality and manufacturing-related experience.
• Excellent verbal, written, computer, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Excellence at task delegation, management, and closure.
• Ability to influence others without direct authority over them.
• Excellent Root Cause investigation skills.
• Knowledge of Statistical Process Control fundamentals and experience applying them.
• Ability to multi-task and successfully operate in a fast-paced, team environment.

• Experience with Reliability Modelling & Failure Estimation.
• Experience with Quality Control measuring techniques and print reading.
