Quality Assurance Supervisor - 2nd shift Job at Coca-Cola Northeast
POSITION AT A GLANCE:
- Pay- $60K-$85K/annually + $8K annual incentive eligible + benefits that kick in day 1!
- Schedule- Monday-Friday, 2nd Shift, typically 2pm-10pm. Must have flexibility to include occasional weekends to assist with projects when necessary and 1st shift to assist with new hire onboarding on orientation days.
- Location- East Hartford, CT
- Preferred experience-
- Bachelor’s degree in life sciences or engineering
- 5+ years of production/QA experience
- 1+ year supervisory experience, QA supervisory preferred
- Strong computer skills, lab techniques and documentation. Experience with cGMPs. Experience with internal, external and vendor audits.

Job Description
The Quality Assurance (QA) Supervisor is responsible for all Quality Assurance functions within an assigned production facility.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Supervise team of QA employees; ensure team is adequately staffed, managed, trained and evaluated- Oversee qualitative and quantitative testing of raw materials and finished goods throughout all stages of the production process
- Monitor routine quality inspections and audits of packaging
- Ensure all QA facilities and equipment are in proper operating order
- Maintain and enforce standards of health, safety, hygiene and security
- Focus on continuous improvement and removing costs, inefficiencies and complexity from the supply chain
- Make recommendations and implement processes to improve the overall productivity, quality and safety of QA operations
- Establish operational procedures in collaboration and cooperation with the Corporate Quality Manager
Job Requirements
High school diploma, GED or equivalent required- Bachelor’s degree in a science related field preferred
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in a manufacturing, production or QA role
- Previous supervisory and/or leadership experience preferred
- Strong analytical and organizational skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy skills
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Excel and Word
- Familiarity with lab safety and handling of hazardous materials
- Knowledge of water treatment systems
