Food Manufacturer in Ulster County is looking for individuals they can train for their Quality Department. This position would require employees to test the PH, the coloring and packaging of the product among other things. Point of contact between Quality Assurance department and all Co-packers. Since this is a temp to hire opportunity and the client is looking for someone who wants the position long term. Preferred candidates will have longevity in their work history.
Quality Control Specialist Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED or 2-years Associate Degree in Chemistry, Biology or Laboratory Science
Two to three years of demonstrated experience in a food manufacturing environment or Laboratory Testing environment (is an advantage)
One year of demonstrated experience in a supervisory role ( is an advantage)
Understanding of GMPs, QA SOPs, and food safety and quality audits
Speak, read, and write English.
Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Schedule: 5pm-3:30am, Monday-Friday, + Saturday
Pay rate: $16 per hour
It is a full time, temp-hire opportunity.
