Quality Inspection/Packing Operator- 3rd Shift Job at AMETEK, Inc.

AMETEK, Inc. Specialty Metal Products is seeking a safety conscious individual with a desire to work in a manufacturing environment to support our 3rd shift operation. As a Quality Inspection/Packing Operator, prior metals experience is preferred, but extensive training is provided!
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Pack and Inspect pedestals into proper waffle pack called out on drawing specifications.
- Perform quality inspection on packed pedestals and repack passed parts with proper inserts.
- Perform final quality metrics and release job to shipment with communication to shipping department.
- Responsible for alerting supervisor of critical levels of waffle packs, waffle packs accessories, packing supplies, etc.
- Responsible to enter data into shop floor system for any completed work.
- Operator will prepare parts/paperwork for outside work and complete Keyence work needed prior to shipment.
- Responsible to maintain a clean workspace and sign off on cleaning log biweekly.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Safety conscious and able to assess risks
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Solid mathematical skills
- Desire to use hands and learn new machinery and tooling
- Comfort working in a multi-machine job shop environment
- Willingness to work on weekends if needed
- A high school diploma or GED certification
- Able to pass a hair drug test
