Capital Quarries is currently recruiting for a Quarry Supervisor to oversee second-shift crews for portable quarries in Jefferson City, Holts Summit, and the Danville area.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Communicate with the team to meet production demands in a timely manner.
• Supervise employees performing day-to-day quarry operations and mobile equipment maintenance.
• Schedule, assign, plan and monitor the work of crews to ensure the completion of the tasks in a timely and quality manner.
• Manage mobile equipment expenses and operational expectations.
• Coordinate outside vendor activities, including blasting.
• Manage operations of portable plants including drilling, blasting, loading, hauling, mobile equipment maintenance, ect.
• Complete operational summaries and reports as needed.
• Plan, coordinate, and supervise quarry operations to meet portable plant production needs.

Manage any urgent or breakdown jobs as required to keep equipment running and minimize downtime.
Provide technical assistance in the maintenance of equipment.

• Ensure all mining and mobile equipment activities are compliant.
• Ensure the quarry site operates safely, efficiently, and successfully.
• Other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS

• Valid Driver’s License
• High school degree or GED required.
• Familiar with MSHA/OSHA regulations, quarry processing equipment (i.e. crushers, belt conveyors), and general maintenance of equipment
• 2 – 5 years working in mining/quarry operations with managerial and front-line supervisory experience.
• Willing to travel/work out of town.
• Must pass a pre-employment physical, drug/alcohol screen, and background check.
