BASIC FUNCTION AND RESPONSIBILITY:

The front desk receptionist is responsible for performing tasks within the office to support daily operations. The person in this position engages with residents/visitors to provide information in response to questions about the operation of Montgomery Village Foundation, class/program registration and individual resident account inquiries and payments. Answer incoming calls and forward, as necessary, to the various departments, provide general information in response to public inquiries, process incoming and outgoing mail

PRIMARY DUTIES:

Open the office at 8:30am and close at 5:00 pm.

Greet visitors/residents, provide information and forms requested, or refer to appropriate MVF personnel when necessary.

Answer incoming telephone calls, provide appropriate information. Provide referrals to County and private agencies as appropriate.

Assist the work of various departments with class registrations, activity card processing and distribution, assessment balance verification and payment processing , boat registration, acceptance of architectural improvement applications, and other projects as requested.

Process daily out-going mail as well as scheduled and non-scheduled bulk mail. Record postage to appropriate account. Add postage to meter when needed.

Retrieve messages each morning from general voicemail and Board of Directors message center and distributes them as appropriate.

Work with Director on ordering of office supplies to include copiers and printers.

Coordinate printer/copier repairs with service providers.

Performs other duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with staff and public.

Ability to maintain systematic records, perform accurate clerical work, handle cash, and use a cash register.

Knowledge of Foundation policy and the ability to communicate it effectively to others.

Ability to communicate effectively, by telephone, in person and electronically.

Ability to learn computer applications as necessary.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

Graduation from high school or equivalent. Knowledge and familiarity with basic Microsoft Office Suite.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience in a similar work setting.

Fluent in English.

Fluent in Spanish a plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.65 per hour
