IMMEDIATE JOB OPPORTUNITY
The Tri-County Electrical JATC has an immediate opening for a part-time RECEPTIONIST with light clerical duties at our electrical apprenticeship program.
ORGANIZATIONAL OVERVIEW
The Tri-County Electrical JATC offers a five-year electrical apprenticeship program that combines on-the- job training with classroom learning resulting in a Journeyman certificate awarded upon successful completion of the program.
Applicants begin the process by completing and submitting the application and required documents, making them eligible to take the next scheduled aptitude test. Once the aptitude test is passed, they are scheduled for an interview and placed on our Ranking List.
POSITION TITLE: Receptionist / Clerical
COMPENSATION: commensurate with experience
HOURS: Mondays – Thursdays, 12pm-5pm
ESTIMATED START: immediately
LOCATION: 10300 Merritt Street in Castroville, CA
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
- Answer phones and make phone calls
- Take and distribute messages
- Assist with inquiries on the apprenticeship program
- Assist apprentices currently in the program
- Assist administrative staff
- Data entry
- Type and mail correspondence
- Copy and file documents
- Monitor inventory of office supplies and refill as needed
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Excellent communication skills in person, on the phone, and in writing
- Competency in word processing, databases, and email (specifically Microsoft Office)
- Strong attention to details and ability to follow instructions
- Confidentiality
- Data management
- Capability of working independently or with little supervision
- Consistency, dependability, and punctuality
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $15.50 - $18.00 per hour
Schedule:
- Day shift
- No weekends
