Utility Supply and Construction is seeking a self-motivated, career minded individual to join our HR Team as a Recruiting Specialist.

As a Recruitment Specialist, you will be responsible for the full life-cycle of recruiting. The ideal candidate will have the ability to read others, build strong relationships with both candidates and managers and be able to stay organized while managing multiple open job postings.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Leadership to help identify current and future hiring needs.
  • Develop job descriptions and specifications, draft offer letters, and publish job ads.
  • Attract suitable candidates through applicant tracking databases, forums, social media, etc.
  • Review applicants and conduct interviews, both in person and virtual, to fill open positions.
  • Travel to career fairs and other recruiting sessions.
  • Assess applicant knowledge, skills, and experience to best suit open positions.
  • Conduct background checks and employee eligibility verifications.
  • Remain up to date on current employment legislation and regulations effecting the company.

  • Able to demonstrate a high degree of communication skills, personal and professional ethics, and integrity.
  • Detail oriented with excellent recordkeeping and organizational skills.
  • Ability to multitask, meet deadlines, and thrive in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Excellent decision making, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Team player with desire to be an active participant within the HR Team and organization.
  • Proficient in Adobe and Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, Teams, and PowerPoint.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Degree or equivalent experience in related field.
  • Experience with recruitment processes and databases.
  • The ability to design and implement recruiting strategies.
  • Recent experience working in a Human Resource Department and a working knowledge of employment law and legislation is a plus!
