BASIC PURPOSE:
The Compliance Specialist I employee performs complex technical duties in the employment processing of all applicants, including substitute and contract employees, which may consist of preparing and maintaining a variety of reports, lists, records and files; Responsible for notifying and following up to ensure all credentialed and licensed employees are legally compliant. Respond to inquiries related to compliance. Perform a wide variety of complex and responsible clerical and administrative support duties

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Serve as the point of contact for new hires current employees regarding compliance processes
  • Ensure applicants are providing all required compliance documentation in a timely manner
  • Review initial and ongoing LiveScan results
  • Ensure all permits, credentials and licenses are clear of issues and legally compliant during hiring process
  • Track and follow-up prior to expiration of permits, credentials, and licenses to ensure ongoing compliance
  • Prepare and accurately maintain a variety of reports
  • Update HRS (Human Resource System) compliance records for new and current employees
  • Update changes to personal information, such as address, phone, email
  • Identify problems or issues of concern in the hiring of employees
  • Propose changes in procedures and identify problem areas
  • Other duties as assigned
Must have the ability to perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • One (1) year of HR, onboarding or Credentialing administration in high volume environment required
  • Two (2) years of responsible administrative experience required
  • Strong Computer/Technological skills using Microsoft Office programs (i.e. Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to type at least 50 net words per minute
  • Knowledge and ability to work with word processing, spreadsheets, and database systems
  • Experience using Google Drive (i.e. Google Docs, Google Sheets, Google Forms)
Education:
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Some college preferred; or any equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.
