Our Client, a top tier Global Investment Bank, is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Repo Negotiator to join their Global Contract Services (GCS) Prime Services & Prime Derivatives Services (PDS) team. As the Repo Negotiator, you will be accountable for producing, negotiating and executing various capital markets contract documentation. You will be supporting the Prime Services and PDS businesses of the investment bank with an assigned portfolio of the investment bank’s counterparties. The successful candidate will be able to hit the ground running using their own judgement to multitask and balance priorities in a fast paced, dynamic environment.

Tell Me More

• Location: Remote, based in New York Tristate Area
• Hourly Rate: : $150-$175/hr DOE (which if worked full time for a year is the salary equivalent of $312,000 - $364,000/yr) ** this role is to be paid based on hours worked**
• Work Pattern: Monday-Friday, standard business hours
• Start Date: ASAP
• Contract Length: 6-12 months with opportunity to extend/permanent hire

Your day-to-day activities will include:

• Facilitating the Prime Services and PDS trading business
• Drafting, negotiating and executing capital markets contract documentation with an assigned portfolio of the bank's counterparties using internal templates
• Focusing on Global Master Repurchase Agreement, Global Master Securities Lending Agreement, Master Repurchase Agreement, Master Securities Loan Agreement, etc.
• Ensuring compliance with legal, regulatory and documentation risk controls and adhering to associated guidelines and procedures
• Conducting independent legal analysis and managing relationships with external counsel where necessary and within the bank's requirements on external legal spend
• Working closely with senior stakeholders of the firm including Managing Directors and Directors in Sales, Trading, Risk, Compliance and Operations

What Knowledge, Skills & Experience We Need:

• Bachelor’s Degree
• 4+ years of financial services experience
• Competence in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
• Demonstrated experience in suite of prime services agreements, including prime brokerage agreement, futures agreement, OTC Clearing Agreement (FCM model)
• Experience with ISDA/CSA, repurchase agreements, stock lending agreement, netting agreements, and any supplementary agreements thereto
• Ability to learn legal and commercial concepts quickly for other master agreements not previously handled and to communicate clearly and effectively both written and orally
• Understanding role and importance of legal risk management in the context of document negotiation and the regulatory developments in the prime services & derivatives industry
