Jowat Corporation has an immediate opening for a R&D Laboratory Analyst in our Archdale location. Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm.

Day-in-the-Life and your responsibilities:

- Work with the R&D Chemist on the execution of various experimental projects in a timely fashion. - Perform preventative maintenance and calibration on analytical equipment as required. - Maintain departmental and individual lab notebooks, tabulate and organize data, keep records, write reports. - Maintain inventory and safe storage of laboratory chemicals. - Maintain, operate, and understand analytical R&D Lab equipment such as FTIR, DMA, and DSC. - Assist in the preparation of samples in amounts of desired materials requested by Chemist. - Using the internet, and in-house journals, maintain a current awareness of new trends in chemistry. - Works closely with the assigned Chemist to assist in conducting tests to evaluate benefits and claims for products. - Prepare adhesive samples internally and for customers. - Continue to develop expertise in the field of adhesive chemistry. - Read and follow trends in the trade literature. - Must be comfortable around industrial heavy equipment.

Education/Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry or related field is preferred. - Knowledge of general chemistry, quantitative and qualitative analysis, and organic chemistry or equivalent experience is preferred. - Knowledge of basic scientific principles and general laboratory methods. - Knowledge of SAP (preferred). - Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suites is required.

Salary: $30,000.00 - $35,000.00 per year
