Job Description Summary:
A full-time research associate position is available in the Department of Orthopedic Surgery at the University of Kansas Medical Center (KUMC), Kansas City, KS, U.S.A. This individual will work on funded research projects involving in both basic science and clinical studies in an orthopedic research laboratory at KUMC.

Job Description:
Participate in animal studies of osteoarthritis and skeletal tissue regeneration after appropriate trainings.

Participate in clinical studies involving human subjects data management and statistical analysis.

Conduct laboratory experiments using cell culture, gene and protein expression, and histology techniques.

Assist orthopedic residents and graduate/medical students with research, and assist PI with manuscript applications and laboratory management.

** Required Qualifications **

A candidate for this position requires a master's degree in biology, biochemistry, biostatistics, or a related discipline. Preferred candidates should have research experience in biology, chemistry and/or biostatistics.
