Research Escort Job at Northwestern University

This full-time position (~40 hrs/week) will drive participants to and from their homes throughout the Chicagoland area for a research study conducted at Northwestern University’s downtown campus. A rental car is provided for this aspect of the work and a valid driver’s license and clean driving record is required. In addition, this person will be responsible for walking participants to and from other buildings on campus and checking them in for CT and MRI scans. In addition, this position will perform other duties within the research clinic, which may include data entry and uploading, filing, purchasing food for participant snacks, preparing and mailing blood collection kits, making reminder calls, preparing study charts and other miscellaneous duties to support the work of the study.

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Drive participants to and from their homes and the research clinic and escort participants to and from the CT and MRI facilities for their appointments.
  • Perform clerical duties such as data entry, preparing charts for the next days’ visits, filing, etc.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma, valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.

Minimum Competencies: (Skills, knowledge, and abilities.)

  • Good knowledge of the Chicagoland area roadways and directions. Able to interact with individuals from all backgrounds and cultures in a friendly and courteous manner.
  • Knowledge of computers and Microsoft Office programs.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Some education beyond high school is preferred but not necessary.
