Summary

Assist in the oversight of program operations for residential homes that provide 24/7 support and supervision to people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Assistant Managers complete critical daily and weekly tasks that contribute to the successful overall functioning of the group home and client care. This includes serving as lead staff on shift, review of program documentation, and assuming responsibility of the overall operation of the home. This position combines hands on direct care work with administrative responsibilities and is essential to the health, safety, and wellbeing of the people in our care. Your organizational skills, problem solving skills, and communication skills will be utilized to ensure quality supports and services are provided in a manner consistent with Everas core values and to make a difference in the lives of the people we support.

Must be available to be on-call.

Assistant Manager Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Hands on coordination of shift activities and oversight of same
  • Review of daily program documentation, household supplies, and client needs
  • Ensure clients receive caring, quality direct support services that meet their community living needs as per their individual service plan
  • Participation in client medical appointments and community activities
  • Documentation of all services in accordance with state and federal regulations
  • Household duties including cleaning, cooking, bathing, laundry
  • Ensuring quality services are provided to the individuals who reside in the group home
  • Ensure daily living skills training, community activities and recreation
  • ISP planning and implementation
  • Maintain daily, monthly, and annual required documentation (must be comfortable with electronic documentation systems)
  • Involvement in client's medical support needs
  • Plan and manage daily schedules

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum three years experience in related field
  • Minimum education: HS Diploma or Equivalent
  • Driver's license with no more than two moving violations w/in three years
  • Criminal background check and drug screening
  • Basic computer skills
  • Ability to provide mobility support and physical transfers
  • Comfort with hands on hygiene support/total care of people with physical support needs
  • Strong interpersonal communication, problem solving, and writing skills
  • Flexible schedule to include evenings/weekends
  • Willingness to meet NJ Executive Order 252, which requires employees to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19, including a booster; at minimum one dose is required to begin employment with the expectation to complete subsequent doses as per recommended time frames; this requirement may be waived only in exceptional circumstances as outlined in the law.
