Residential Operations Manager – Youngstown/Warren, OH


Salary $
: Full Time (40 hours per week); Competitive pay rate based on previous experience; Comprehensive Benefits Package for Full Time

Shift: Dayshift, M-F

Responsibilities:

  • Interviewing and hiring of applicants.
  • Orienting new hires and monitor on-going training needs. Arrange for necessary training.
  • Performance evaluation, disciplinary actions and if necessary, termination.
  • Individual and group supervision sessions to included one-on-one coaching for success.
  • Conduct, coordinate and facilitate monthly or as needed staff and facilities team meetings.
  • Manage staff call off and on-call procedures and processes for all therapeutic program workers.
  • Responsible for maintaining all TPW time and attendance records and leave requests for ADP.
  • Responsible for compliance and monitoring of the daily TPW duties and checklists for each shift.
  • Develop TPW staffing schedules as needed in the in the event of a long-term absence i.e. illness, vacation of the Residential Staffing Manager.
  • Compliance with non-clinical standards imposed by licensing, certifying or accrediting bodies. This includes such things as: inspections, trainings, emergency drills and procedures; TB tests, First Aid/CPR.
  • Ensures that facility is properly maintained and clean and in accordance with compliance with health and safety standards and accreditation requirements
  • Interacts with surveyors, site inspectors, community mental health partners and client family members etc. as needed.
  • Manages petty cash fund if applicable.
  • Manages resident rent payments, other fees etc. if applicable.
  • Manages the quality and effectiveness of therapeutic program workers facilitating client group activities and daily interactions.
  • Place maintenance, janitorial, IT (computer, phone, and copier) service tickets as needed.
  • Develop nutritious and cost-effective monthly client centered meal plans to include breakfast, lunch and dinner for COMPASS residential facilities with consultation from area nutrition experts.
  • Ensure that menu plans and food allowance budgets are developed and are followed on a consistent basis.
  • Develop, coordinate and manage purchasing orders and processes for: food, linens, paper products, janitorial supplies, equipment and furniture etc. for designated COMPASS residential facilities
  • Daily interactions in matters relating to activities of daily living.
  • Setting limits/re-directing residents as necessary.
  • Inspires clients/ residents to try new challenges
  • Ensures that all new residents are properly oriented to the facility.
  • Ensures the completion of client intake process is completed with accuracy and in a timely manner.
  • Ensures (along with Nurse/ CNP and Program Manager) that the therapeutic program workers are adhering to the self-administration of medication processes and procedures.

Qualifications:

  • College degree in human services or related field is preferred or relevant 2+ years’ experience in residential operations supervision is required.
  • Experience working in and supervising residential staff members within a behavioral health facility is preferred.
  • High level skill set in Microsoft Office Products is required and working knowledge of electronic medical records systems is preferred.

Miscellaneous requirements: Criminal background check, Pre-employment drug screen, clear driving record and reliable independent transportation; TB test; CPR/first aid certification required. Must be organized and possess the ability to manage multiple priorities. Takes initiative and strives for quality and consistency of tasks performed. Possess the ability to perform duties and responsibilities independently and requires minimal supervision. Must be perceived as approachable with staff and management and is an active team player. Must possess the ability to communicate clearly and communicate feedback assertively.
