Residential Sales Representative -
Windham County / Tolland County Connecticut

Residential Sales Representative (RSR) will be involved in making sure we “touch” our existing customer base to ensure we do not lose our customers to the competition.

The RSR will participate in new business marketing programs to attract customers to the Spicer brand.

Technical support will come from the Service department allowing the RSR to focus their entire time on new business.

The retention program will work hand in hand with business development. This position is not necessarily a Monday through Friday 9 to 5 position. Our existing and potential customers are usually available during these hours but if not we want to make sure we accommodate every customer and every potential new customer.

40 hours per week is the norm.

Basic fuel uses that Spicer Energy Services covers are the installation and servicing of HVAC, Hearth and Patio, Heating, Water Heating, Hearth Products, Patio, Cloths Drying, Residential, Commercial and Industrial for both Propane and Oil.

The RSR will be responsible for pulling of permits from the towns for new installations. Training on all of the above will come from existing Spicer employees through office and field training.

We’re seeking an experienced individual that understands propane, industrial gas, HVAC, plumbing, appliance/generator industries, or has demonstrated the ability to be a quick study of this subject matter.

Goals:
1) Develop a Growth Action Plan for assigned territory.

2) Develop a strong working relationship with the operations management (and service personnel) that is focused on customer service and customer growth as a TOP
PRIORITY.

3) Identify and qualify prospects, create effective presentations, obtain needed usage information to generate proposals, prepare proposals, negotiate and close deals within an acceptable time frame, obtain authorization on contracts, and other required financial documentation.

4) Exercises a leadership role that supports and champions customer service as a
TOP PRIORITY.

5) Prepares and presents sales proposals to current and prospective customers.

6) Candidate must have great people skills and be goal motivated. Knowledge of propane and HVAC products business is a big plus.

Qualifications:

1) 3-5 years sales experience preferably in the propane, industrial gas, HVAC, plumbing industry.

2) Demonstrated hands-on sales background, with a strong customer service focus.

3) Energy industry experience (heating oil, propane, natural gas or industrial gas preferred

4) Experience in estimating and composing all paperwork and documents required to sell the products and facilitate the efficient and profitable installation.
