Location: TBD, remote work from anywhere in the Continental United States is possible.

This specific position is in support of a potential federal client in the emergency management / human services mission space.

EMSI is seeking a Response Team Cadre Manager for a federal emergency management/response contract. This is a contingent job offer pending contract award. The Cadre Manager will be responsible for developing a recruitment plan and recruiting response specialists for an Incident Management Team (IMT) and case management cadre. The Cadre Manager will ensure that unit staff have the required background and training as determined by the client. The Cadre Manager will be responsible for maintaining an updated and active roster IMT and case management specialists and unit staff who are able to deploy when directed by the client. The Cadre Manager will coordinate with the client to staff response requirements, as needed, based on the scope and magnitude of the disaster.

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • The Cadre Manager must have a master’s degree and a minimum of four years of professional experience, specifically related to human and social services and program administration; disaster services; emergency response or incident management.
  • The Cadre Manager must have specific knowledge and experience in providing training on NIMS and ICS, and ideally have experience providing coaching services in the field.
  • Relevant experience must include experience in staff recruitment, retention, leading teams, training development and delivery.
