Job description

The Restorative Care Aide is responsible for the provision of direct resident care in accordance with all organizational and legislative policies and procedures and expected professional conduct. In collaboration with the resident care team, the Restorative Care Aide ensures adherence to quality resident-focused programs and actively participates in continuous quality improvement activities.

Restorative Aide Responsibilities

• · Assists patients with transfers and walking.
• · Assists patients with range of motion and strength training exercises.
• · Communicates and documents service and any condition changes.
• · Assists resident / patient with dressing/grooming.
• · Assists resident / patient with amputation and prosthesis care.
• · Assists with eating and swallowing exercises.
• · Maintains proper documentation of records regarding patient care that is reviewed routinely by DON or nursing designee.
• · Assists with exercised to develop patient cognitive and communication skills.
• · Performs other duties as assigned.
• · Demonstrates proficiency in motivating residents to participate in and complete restorative programs.
• · Complies with facility guidelines for documentation and physicians’ orders.
• · Relates well to residents, their families, and facility staff.
• · Interacts well with therapists and implements individual programs as developed.
• · Maintains equipment and supplies for treatment.
• · Maintains consistent resident care schedule and is efficient in use of time.
• · Able to perform duties with a minimum of supervision.
• · Identifies potential problems/issues and reports to supervisor in a timely manner.
• · Maintains a professional attitude and appearance.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
