POSITION SUMMARY

Radiology Partners is seeking a Results Communicator to join our Results Communication Team. You will be responsible for relaying urgent and non-urgent radiology results to medical professionals that have real time impact on patient care.

POSITION DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Calling and faxing reports on behalf of our Radiologists to ensure results are given to the appropriate health care professional (i.e. physicians, nurse practitioner, physician assistance, registered nurse, medical assistant, etc.)

• Communicate with referring physicians and clinical staff on behalf of the Radiologist

• Follow up with healthcare professionals regarding requests made on behalf of Radiologists

• Document all communication and action taken on individual exams

• Facilitating call patching from referring physicians to radiologists and radiologists to referring physicians

• Take incoming phone calls for confirmation of results

• Continually maintain a high level of customer service

• Adjust work hours and/or work days to assure appropriate coverage to meet client needs

• Promote a culture that reflects the organization’s values, encourages good performance, and enhances productivity

• Perform other duties as assigned by displaying team spirit and self-growth, accepting projects and assignments

DESIRED PROFESSIONAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• Radiology and/or healthcare experience strongly recommended

• Medical terminology required. Must be able to read radiology results

o Example: Mild left-sided hydroureteronephrosis with a suspected distal left ureteral calculus.

• Excellent customer service skills

• Excellent written and verbal skills

• Excellent attendance

• Ability to multitask and work independently

• Intermediate computer proficiency and keyboarding experience is required in this role.

• Ability to consider individual communication preferences/needs and the ability to maintain a tactful and diplomatic demeanor in all communications

• Ability to follow workflows and apply critical thinking skills

• A positive and cooperative attitude
