Retail Buyer

Are YOU the perfect addition to our team? We are looking for the following:

Candidate with a proven record of meeting and exceeding business objectives and sales targets. Someone who can plan and manage the retail assortment, product flow and individual store assortments. Must be able to partner with the Director of Planning and our Client to make sure product selection represents the appropriate direction of our clients mission. Expected to partner with the Visual Director and the Director of Planning on store fixture planning, placement, and assortment messaging.

Financial Responsibilities:

Achieve Sales Budget

Achieve Cost of Goods Sold Budget

Achieve Per Cap Budget

Maximize inventory turnover while maintaining necessary stock levels to support sales

Negotiate terms and pricing that are in line with SSAs financial goals

Management Skills:

Excellent oral and written presentation skills

Confident, articulate and professional

High energy with a strong commitment to the cultural and financial goals of the company

Strong work ethic

Highly adaptable to different environments and skill sets

Ability to multi-task and monitor several projects simultaneously

Strong attention to detail

Analytical Skills:

Ability to research and explain variances to financial metrics

Experience with creating annual merchandise assortment plans

Understands how to utilize planograms for store planning and merchandising

Able to maintain the appropriate inventory level to support sales

Knows how to accurately project inventory needs by item

Understands how to create and maintain a replenishment strategy

Communication Skills:

Understands and knows how to adjust communication style to fit the individual or situation

Empathetic communicator, able to see things from the other persons point of view

Able to speak professionally, clearly and honestly

An active listener

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Bachelors Degree Preferred

3-5 years of buying responsibility and custom product development

Attraction retail experience

Must be proficient in Word, Excel, and Power Point

Ability to quickly learn multiple POS systems

Experience with cloud-based systems, uploading files and making changes to online documents

Denver based position

Travel up to 10-15%.

Compensation and Benefits

• Full-Time
• Salary based on range in consideration of relevant job experience and certification/education; if position is physically in Colorado salary range will be posted above following EPFEW Act
• Vacation or TAFW (time away from work) Plan we want our team to take time as they need, so dont accrue hours but rather give you freedom to schedule within scope of the business and your needs
• Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance; employee premiums applicable
• Short-Term Disability and Long-Term Disability, employer sponsored; scaled-salary pay following submission and approval of leave
• Birthing Parent Plan covers up to (6-8) weeks fully paid leave, based on birthing event
• (4) Week fully paid Parental leave following birth, adoption or foster event, can be coupled with Birthing Parent Plan to extend above timeline
• 401k program, eligible for enrollment after (1) year of employment during January or June open enrollment periods, company is not matching at this time
• $75 monthly cell phone stipend

Salary range is $65,000.00-$75,000.00, commensurate with education and experience.
