Revenue Cycle Supervisor - Full Time Job at NORTHEASTERN HEALTH SYSTEM
Position Summary
Evaluates data and monitors trends to initiate improvements in the TMG Revenue Cycle. Oversees the hiring and onboarding of Clinic Registration staff.
Position Accountabilities
Maintains established departmental policies and procedures, performance improvement projects, safety, environmental and infection control standards.
Maintains strict confidentiality of information, internally and externally, with a working knowledge of HIPPAA compliance.
Responds promptly to patient inquiries and requests.
Acts as a liaison between clinic coordinators and Director of Clinic Operations to assist with staffing or revenue issues.
Maintains harmonious relationship with department (TMG) and co-workers providing support and assistance to staff to ensure quality customer service.
Provides training and resources for Clinic Registration, Physician Office Coordinators, and Providers regarding revenue cycle procedures.
Provides training and assistance to the registration associates regarding billing procedures, if applicable.
Understanding of clinical and financial process interactions. (Medical Necessity, ICD-10 Coding and CPT Coding Guidelines).
Ability to use independent judgment and reach appropriate decisions.
Understands work priorities with the ability to manage multiple tasks, control work inventories, and complete activities in an appropriate and timely manner.
Provides input to the Director and VP regarding departmental budgeting process.
Coordinates hiring and training of registration employees.
Prepares analysis of various functions and procedures regarding the revenue cycle.
Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.
Minimum Education - Associates Degree or Equivalent Experience
Minimum Experience - On the job or equivalent in revenue cycle processes/procedures, Coding Experience Desired,
Analytical experience (excel spreadsheet knowledge), Excellent human relations and oral/written communications skills
Preferred Experience - Healthcare admissions, collections, coding, customer service and third party payer knowledge
Excellent human relations and oral/written communication skills, Management experience in hospital/health care
environment, Supervisory experience preferred
