Revenue Operations Leader (Remote-East Coast) Job at Clipper Magazine LLC
Position Summary:
The Revenue Operations leader will align all departments impacting the customer journey with data-driven strategies that pave the way for customer success and business growth. As a player/coach, you will lead a transformational initiative that requires you to build out a RevOps team that will identify and implement the technology stack and tools to execute essential revenue processes – from capturing leads for marketing, improving go-to-market for inside and outside sales, and delivering key insights and metrics for customer success. You will maximize efficiency through a strong operating rhythm and work collaboratively across functions to identify the biggest opportunities for revenue-generating optimizations.
Key Duties / Responsibilities:
- Establish roles, responsibilities, and accountability for a team that will make Revenue Operations a critical business function that accelerates growth
- Identify and implement a tech stack that connects the customer journey through data, KPIs, and insights to drive efficiency and performance
- Refine pipeline management, forecasting, customer success planning, and strategic analysis with high levels of quality, accuracy, and process consistency
- Take ownership of systems and tools related to our Marketing, Sales & Customer Success team with SFDC as our central hub. You will be responsible for evaluating, improving, and implementing all tools and software.
- Partner with Sales Training and Enablement to identify opportunities to improve ramp-up time for new sales members
- Partner with Marketing and Inside Sales to run effective lead-nurturing campaigns to generate inbound opportunities
- Partner with the Director of Salesforce to ensure the integrity of data and data flows in Salesforce, as well as other Sales & Marketing support tools
- Assist with annual planning for Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success
- Deliver and execute strategic projects and serve as the primary conduit for cross-functional work
- Coach, lead, and mentor staff, including:
o Hire and retain the right people that align with our culture
o Motivate and provide ongoing direction
o Manage performance standards and expectations
o Conduct performance and compensation reviews
o Mentor employees to develop their skills and career path within the company
o Determine employee development and training plans
Education, Experience & Knowledge:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 7 years of work experience in revenue operations or sales operations in a high-growth environment
- Minimum of 5 years working with a CRM (Salesforce strongly preferred) and associated sales and marketing tools. Strong understanding of all SFDC admin capabilities, including validation rules, process builders, object design and layout, and native reporting capabilities
- Minimum of 3 years of people leadership experience
- Experience leading a transformational initiative to build out Revenue Operations as a core competency
- Demonstrated fluency with reporting, KPIs, and end-to-end revenue management best practices
- Proven success partnering with Sales, Marketing, Finance, Product, and Customer Success teams
Skills / Abilities:
- Effective decision-making ability and superior communication skills
- Proven proficiency in identifying, diagnosing, and resolving problems while prioritizing critical issues and mapping long-term departmental needs
- Excellent organization and time management skills, meeting deadlines as required
- Ability to drive change and utilize change management principles and processes to navigate the changing landscape
- Possess the characteristics to balance an entrepreneurial, fast-paced environment with an analytical, and systematic approach to work
- Ability to effectively lead, manage, and grow a partially remote/hybrid team
Leadership/Financial Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership and guidance to sales leaders, as required
- Develop rules of engagement and partner with leaders to grow revenue through collaboration
- Manage cost center expenses, making fiscally responsible decisions
Travel:
- Up to 10%; critical on-site meetings
