Summary/Objective
The Revenue Integrity Specialist Register Nurse (RN) is responsible for determining the appropriateness of patient charges, and Charge Description Master (CDM) assigned HCPCS/CPTs, by reviewing the medical record, facility protocol, and other applicable documentation. Serves as a primary contact for charge related SSC and facility inquiries and issues.

Required Education and Experience

RN or other advanced nursing degree.

Healthcare experience in an acute care hospital or coding experience.

Knowledge of CPT/HCPCS codes or experience in charging or performing charge reviews.

1-2 years Utilization Review experience.

Prior supervisory experience preferred.
Experience in chart auditing. Knowledge of Nursing documentation and requirements including regulations to meet standards that comply with billing.
Licenses/Certifications
State of Illinois RN license.
