REGISTERED NURSE
Job Summary: Primary responsibility for the total nursing care, assessment planning, implementation, and evaluation of each assigned patient. Plans provide, and documents discharge planning, teaching, and educates patients, family members, or others to attain optimal health and continuity of care. Assures that the plan of care is carried out in a safe environment through performance and supervision of all subordinate nursing personnel. Primary responsibility is to the med-surg, Emergency Room, and Swing Bed units. OSHA Bloodborne Pathogens Class I.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
A. Utilizing the nursing processes completes comprehensive physical and psychosocial assessment of patients.
1. Takes nursing histories to provide a basis for developing patient care plans.
2. Completes a thorough nursing assessment and history on admission.
3. Identifies teaching/learning/discharge needs at the time of admission and throughout hospitalization.
4. Provides ongoing assessment which accurately reflects overt physiological and psychosocial needs of patients.
5. Consistently uses input from patient, family, significant other, physician, and health care team members to set priority and needs of patients.
6. Provides care appropriate for the neonate and pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients served based on demonstrated knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span.
7. Assesses and interprets data on neonate and pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients’ status to identify patients’ requirements relative to their age-specific needs and provides the care needed as stipulated in the departmental policy.

Pay: $27.00 - $41.00 per hour
