Unit: Surgical Short Stay
Location: 4420 Lake Boone Trl, Raleigh, NC 27607
Shift/Hours
Day shift - 7:00 am - 7:00pm
Night shift - 7:00 pm - 7:00am
* New Grads must be flexible to work all shifts (day, evening & night).*
Holiday/Weekend Requirement:
Weekend: Require 2 out of 6 weekends - Saturday/Sunday
Holidays: Assigned to Holiday Tracks
Responsibilities:
· Specialize in the care of the 24 hour stay surgical patient
· Patient population is general surgery and post-interventional radiology recovery for renal biopsy recovery and uterine embolization
· Patients in this unit may be recovering from many different types of surgery including but not limited to thyroidectomy, appendectomy, lumbar/cervical laminectomy and hernia repair
· Will also care for the overflow medical patient population
Must Haves:
License: NC RN License
Certification: BLS
Experience: 1 year in acute care
Education: Associates accepted; Must agree to enroll in BSN program within 4 years of being hired; Must complete BSN within 7 years.
