Job Summary


This position is responsible for assisting in the daily operations of the Campus Store.

Responsibilities


Store Operations -

Assists in daily operations of the Macon Campus Store.
Assist with opening and closing the store daily.
Accurately and efficiently utilizes the Campus Store point of sale system to facilitate sales.
Assists with shipping, receiving, and stocking inventory.
Maintains a clean and organized store floor and cash wrap with sufficient supplies for each day¿s business and communicates any supply needs (shopping bags, register tape, etc.) to the store Director as needed.
Assists in organizing and setting textbook shelves for each new semester.
Assists in completing textbook and merchandise returns as needed.
Assists with the daily buyback program.
Monitors expiration dates on all food and drink items in the Macon Campus Store.
Assists in performance of end-of-day closing procedures, including sales floor recovery, reconciliation of cash drawers, performing system closing procedures, and securing retail and office areas.
Communicates effectively with other campus stores.
Answering the phone.
Filing


Customer Service & Other Duties -

Greets and acknowledges customers as they enter and exit the Campus Store.
Assists customers in selecting the correct course materials and suggests other items of interest to customers.
Ensures that customers understand the refund/exchange policy and deadlines at the time of purchase.
Provides customer feedback and customer requests to appropriate members of management and/or the Merchandiser to ensure that the store¿s inventory mix appeals the overall campus community.
Provides excellent customer service to all faculty, staff, students, and guests.
Other duties as assigned.


Required Qualifications


Educational Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent.

Other Required Qualifications
Ability to work independently.

Required Experience
Minimum of six months cashier experience

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities


Knowledge of basic retail cashier experience.

Knowledge of setting up and staging merchandise displays.

Knowledge of Campus Stores and MGA policies and procedures.

Skill in decision-making and problem solving.

Skill in interpersonal relations and customer service.

Skill in verbal and written communication.
