SUMMARY:

Responsible for providing subject matter expertise on the design and implementation of complex data networks and voice solutions for small business and enterprise customers across a rapidly growing regional ISP. Works as a collaborative member of the sales team to market and sell the company's product lines. Provides insight to customers on current network solutions. Works closely with sales teams on presentations and the technical design of new sales. Integrates knowledge of business and functional priorities. Acts as a key contributor in a complex and crucial environment. Our working environment is innovative and cohesive and requires positive team players.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist the sales teams and leadership in the development of the overall business strategy to acquire new customers. Contributes to the costing and pricing of a solution.
  • Provide timely, technical support and problem resolution for field service questions.
  • Assist in generating new business and ensure the growth of existing accounts.
  • Design solutions for customer that meets their business requirements.
  • Translate complex technical design requirements into information that customers can understand and respond to.
  • Serve as a technical expert to review RFP responses for content and accuracy before they are submitted.
  • Provide technical support for events and technical trade shows as required.
  • Develop, deliver, and run effective presentations, meetings, and client interviews.
  • Work with United Communications Network Engineering, Network Operations, Project Management, and Customer Operations to acquire an intimate knowledge of all United Communications product concepts, processes, and procedures.
  • Keep up to date on technological and market evolution as well as competitors' activities.
  • Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
  • Knowledge of IP routing protocols (OSPF, BGP, PIM) and IPv4/IPv6, VOIP, MPLS, L2/L3 VPN, and Metro Ethernet.
  • Be onsite for customer installations to ensure successful implementation of the services ordered.
  • Owns the technical aspects and process of our UCaaS solution both internally and with customers and host live demonstrations for prospects.
  • Assist with internal project management of enterprise opportunities and all UCaaS opportunities.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
  • Cultivate local partnerships and organizational affiliations to positively promote and position United Communications brand within the communities we serve. Actively participate in community events and service opportunities.

JOB QUALIFICATION AND REQUIREMENTS:

Education, Experience, Skills, and Licenses/Certificates:

  • Bachelor s Degree in Computer Science or a related discipline, or equivalent education and/or experience.
  • Minimum 7+ years of experience in the areas of responsibility listed above.
  • CCNA or JNCIA certification is a plus.
  • Knowledge of ADTRAN and Calix access systems is a plus.
  • Must possess skills in presenting, persuading, and negotiating.
  • Highly motivated. Can work in a rapidly growing company and industry.
  • Strong self-starter who can work independently while being part of a close-knit team.
  • Must possess excellent communication skills (oral and written), including the ability to effectively articulate complex situations to colleagues and customers with varying degrees of network knowledge.
  • PC Skills –advanced word processing and email skills, along with the ability to review and analyze data in company systems. Must be proficient in using Microsoft Office products, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.

  • Ability to operate motorized work equipment and office equipment, including personal computers, phone systems, and software applications.
