DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead and manage sales and rental functions and staff for the entire division, including the implementation of sales process, coaching and developing sales professionals.
  • Responsible for all sales and rental metrics for the entire division; hire, retain and effectively engage with personnel.
  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans to meet corporate goals.
  • Develop and execute the sales and rental departments metrics and goals.
  • Direct sales forecasting activities and set performance goals with Sales Representatives.
  • Deliver sales presentations to key clients in coordination and Sales Representatives.
  • Meet with key customers, assisting sales representatives with maintaining relationships and negotiating and closing deals.
  • Be a culture champion by driving and coaching others of Fairchild’s Core Values.
  • Develop, control and maintain budgets and optimize expenses.
  • Ensure employees are motivated and empowered to be effective in their roles.
  • Demonstrate a clear commitment to Fairchild’s safety culture in all ways; attend all monthly safety committee meetings.
  • Enforce and support Fairchild policies and processes; work with Corporate to review, improve and set polices and processes.
  • Ensure employees work productively and develop professionally.
  • Ability to read and understand financial statements while holding departments accountable to their budgets.
  • Evaluate and improve operations and financial performance.
  • Prepare regular reports for upper management as required.
  • Provide solutions to issues (e.g. profit decline, employee conflicts, loss of business to competitors).
  • Develop, outline and implement plans and strategies to increase the profitability of company products and services that Fairchild Equipment represents within our Agricultural and Construction Division.
  • Develop and initiate strategies to maintain employee productivity, evaluate performance and improve the quality of products, processes and services.
  • Provide feedback and make recommendations that increase the success of marketing efforts and the effectiveness of current marketing strategies at reaching target markets.
  • Schedule and lead staff meetings to discuss updates, issues, feedback and to create solutions to issues that come up within the company's operations.
  • Train, guide and coach employees and evaluate their performance and productivity in completing their job duties and ability to make decisions effecting their departments.
  • Assist human resources in recruiting, hiring, training and evaluating employees and ensure staff complies with company policy and procedures.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Valid Driver’s License.
  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 40%, if not more if required.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent Excel skills required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to interact effectively with all levels throughout the company.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills with proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work in a high-paced environment.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with employees, vendors, and customers.
  • Ability to work under pressure, shift priorities in a changing environment, and self-direct with good business judgments.
  • Ability to organize, multi-task and meet deadlines.
  • Willingness to accept new duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.
  • Proven experience as a General Manager or similar executive role.
  • Experience in planning and budgeting.
  • Knowledge of business process and functions (finance, HR, procurement, operations etc.).
  • Strong analytical ability.

  • Outstanding organizational and leadership skills.
  • Problem-solving aptitude.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelors Degree in Management, Operations or Finance is required.
  • Master’s Degree in Management, Operations or Finance is preferred.
