JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for soliciting new catering accounts, entertaining and maintaining relationships with existing accounts to meet and/or exceed food and beverage revenue goals. Oversee client functions to ensure customer satisfaction.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

· Develops and solicits Weddings, Wedding Blocks & Other Social Sales Business.

· Forecasts wedding sales and defines marketing objectives for the wedding market.

· Solicits Wedding opportunities through attending local wedding shows.

· Responds to inquiries and leads for all social events within 24-48 hours.

· Produces proposals and negotiates contracts. All contracts reviewed and approved by Director of Sales or the General Manager.

· Required to create Resumes for each wedding/event.

· Generate variety of reports, including weekly forecast reports, weekly activity report, and monthly wedding/events production.

· Hosts site inspections with potential brides and other clients.

· Attends/Participate/Host events and trade shows

· Handles special projects assigned by the Director of Sales and the General Manager

· Required to convey the details of the wedding to operation departments – food & beverage, front desk, banqueting and other pertinent departments

· Develop and maintain rapport with key community contacts & vendors to ensure a visible presence in the community.

· Review and finalize billing.

· Be a leader and a role model to all employees.

The individual must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that he or she can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation, using some other combination of knowledge, skills, and abilities:

· Must be able to speak, read, write and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace.

· Requires good communication skills, both verbal and written.

· Most tasks are performed independently or in a team environment with the employee acting as a team leader.

· Must possess basic computer skills.

· Knowledge of hotels and competitive markets.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
